Zagreb Cable Car will start operating this Wednesday!
According to the announcement of the Mayor Mr. Tomislav Tomašević, the Zagreb Cable Car will be put into operation on Wednesday at 12 noon, and it will open for the public on Thursday.
The working hours of the Cable Car will be Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and on weekends from 8 am to 6 pm.
The promotional period will last for the first month and then the special prices will be applied to all citizens.
The price of a ticket for adults is 30 kuna (around 4 euros) for one way and 50 kuna (around 7 euros) for a return ticket. Not payable in euros, only in kunas! For young people aged 15 to 24 and people over the age of 65, the price of a one-way ticket is 20 kuna and a 30 kuna return ticket. For children under the age of 15 as well as people with disabilities who are entitled to free transport by ZET vehicles, the Sljeme Cable Car ride will be free.
After a period of one month, there will be a short-term interruption of the cable car of ten days, when additional work will be performed to reduce noise. After the works are completed, the Zagreb Cable Car will start operating regularly and ticket prices will be divided into three categories.
The first category and the lowest price will be for people who have a monthly or annual ZET coupon and these prices will be the same as in the promotional period. Adults will therefore pay 30 kuna for a one-way ticket and 50 kuna for a return ticket. Young people aged 15 to 24 and those over 65 will pay 20 kuna for a one-way ticket and 30 kuna for a return ticket. For children under the age of 15 and people with disabilities who are entitled to free transport by ZET vehicles, the cable car ride is free.
The second category is valid for all citizens of Zagreb who do not have a ZET subscription coupon. The price for adults will be 40 kuna (around 5 euros) for one way and 70 kuna (around 9 euros) for a return ticket. Not payable in euros, only in kunas! For young people aged 15 to 24, as well as those over 65, the ticket price will be HRK 25 for one way and HRK 40 for a return ticket. For children under the age of 15 and people with disabilities who are entitled to free transport by ZET vehicles, the cable car ride will remain free.
The third category refers to persons who are not from Zagreb and do not have a ZET subscription coupon. Adults will pay 75 kuna (10 euros) for one way and 125 kuna (17 euros) for a return ticket, young people aged 15 to 24 and over 65 will pay 50 kuna for one way and 75 kuna for a return ticket, while children under 15 will pay with disabilities the price will be 20 kuna for one way and 30 kuna for the return ticket.
